Hey!! I’m Josie Cooper with KSUX 105.7! I grew up on a farm outside of the Mapleton/Danbury area. My love for my family, friends and this area runs deep. That’s why I wanted to get closer to home after working in radio in Council Bluffs, North Platte, and Dubuque. Thanks to a rare opening at KSUX in 2008, I was able to get back to Siouxland and work at my all-time favorite radio station!! I met my husband, Landon on a blind date that our mutual friend organized. We met and have been inseparable since 09′. We have two fuzzy babes, Emerson and Hooch. We suffered a miscarriage in early 2014 and are over the moon for Little Miss Eleanor, who God blessed us with in September of 2016. I love music, especially country and have been blessed enough to meet many of the artists, even my idol, Garth Brooks, TWICE!
He is the most humble, down-to-Earth, genuine artist I will ever meet. He even gave me a shout-out on stage saying, “A girl named Josie wanted to hear this song.” I was like, “THAT’S ME!!! I’M THAT JOSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH”. Most people don’t get to meet their idols, let alone have them exceed their expectations, but I did. However, my heroes continue to be my parents, my entire family, my husband and our amazing daughter, Leni. I’m pretty much an open book and share my crazy life with you weekdays from 9 to 2.
